چکیده

We consider a deterministic system with two conserved quantities and infinity many invariant measures. However the systems possess a unique invariant measure when enough stochastic forcing and balancing dissipation are added. We then show that as the forcing and dissipation are removed a unique limit of the deterministic system is selected. The exact structure of the limiting measure depends on the specifics of the stochastic forcing. Jonathan C. Evolutionary predictions from invariant physical measures of dynamic processes.

The invariant physical measure of a dynamic process comprises the information necessary to compute statistical quantities of the system. It allows us to replace time averages over the system's trajectory by integrals over state-space. In particular, it allows us to compute the long-term growth rate of a fluctuating population and hence to make evolutionary predictions. This is explained here us...

Minimal attractors and bifurcations of random dynamical systems

We consider attractors for certain types of random dynamical systems. These are skew-product systems whose base transformations preserve an ergodic invariant measure. We discuss definitions of invariant sets, attractors and invariant measures for deterministic and random dynamical systems. Under assumptions that include, for example, iterated function systems, but that exclude stochastic differ...

Hierarchical Group Compromise Ranking Methodology Based on Euclidean–Hausdorff Distance Measure Under Uncertainty: An Application to Facility Location Selection Problem

Proposing a hierarchical group compromise method can be regarded as a one of major multi-attributes decision-making tool that can be introduced to rank the possible alternatives among conflict criteria. Decision makers’ (DMs’) judgments are considered as imprecise or fuzzy in complex and hesitant situations. In the group decision making, an aggregation of DMs’ judgments and fuzzy group compromi...

Non-gibbsianness of the Invariant Measures of Non-reversible Cellular Automata with Totally Asymmetric Noise

We present a class of random cellular automata with multiple invariant measures which are all non-Gibbsian. The automata have configuration space {O,1f"d , with d > 1, and they are noisy versions of automata with the "eroder property". The noise is totally asymmetric in the sense that it allows random flippings of "0" into "1" but not the converse. We prove that all invariant measures assign to...

Effects of White Noise in Multistable Dynamics

We study the invariant measure of multistable dynamics under the influence of white noise. We show that the invariant measure exists and in the limit of vanishing white noise, the invariant measure approaches a Dirac type measure concentrated at the most stable equilibria if fluctuations are uniform; however, a lesser stable equilibrium may be selected by the fluctuation if its ability to fluct...
